The Central Supply Clerk works closely with the Business Office Coordinator to facilitate receipt anddistribution of supplies. This employee is responsible for maintaining the stockroom.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with supply check-in at the time of delivery and verify against purchase orders.
• Forward purchase orders and packing slips to Accounts Payable.
• Distribute supplies to appropriate locations.
• Maintain a cost requisition system.
• Assure that the stockroom is clean, safe, and orderly.
• Mark all appropriate supplies for use with the inventory system.
• Obtain data on chargeable supplies used by each resident.
• Utilize spend down sheets.
• Assist with daily and monthly physical inventory.
• Maintain par levels
• Demonstrates satisfactory level of interpersonal skills to interact with facility staff, Administration, residents, families, vendors and government agencies.
• Demonstrates knowledge of and respect for the rights, dignity and individuality of each resident in all interactions.
• Understands the importance of and respect for the rights dignity and individuality of each resident in all interactions.
• Demonstrates honesty and integrity at all times in the care and use of resident and facility property.
• Demonstrates respect for co-workers and responds to needs of residents by complying with facility policies.
• Assists Infection Control Nurse with stocking isolation rooms
• Assists Respiratory Therapy with stocking resident rooms with supplies.
• Ordering and tracking of rental equipment as needed.
• Assisting admissions with any equipment or supplies needed timely for new admissions.

Education and/or Experience:

• Minimum High School diploma or equivalent

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• Certified Nursing Assistant preferred
