GENERAL PURPOSE:
The purpose of this position is to oversee and optimize all aspects of inventory within our Central Production Facility. This person is responsible for monitoring stock levels, managing inventory based on production forecasts, placing purchase orders, and maintaining accurate inventory records. This person will oversee the Shipping and Receiving, Data Analyst/Accounting, and Maintenance teams.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Follows established Central Production Facility policies and procedures
• Monitor, track, and maintain accurate inventory levels of raw materials, packaging supplies, WIP, and finished goods
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards
• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reconciliations and cycle counts; investigate and resolve discrepancies
• Oversee receiving, storage, and issuance of ingredients and materials in alignment with FIFO/FEFO principles
• Use production schedules and sales forecasting data to plan and maintain adequate inventory levels
• Maintain accurate records in ERP or inventory management systems
• Place purchase orders for raw materials, ingredients, and packaging supplies based on usage trends and forecasted needs
• Analyze inventory trends to minimize waste, reduce holding costs, and avoid stockouts or overstocking
• Develop and implement inventory control policies, procedures, and best practices
• Track and manage expiry dates, lot numbers, and batch tracking for traceability
• Request and process vendor credits for damaged or incorrect shipments
• Track deliveries and reconcile orders with invoices and packing slips
• Work with QC team to issue any necessary credits for products shipped to stores
• Work with Accounting team to ensure all invoices are paid and reconciled in a timely manner
• Ensure trucks are loaded and unloaded in a timely manner to hit expected delivery timelines
• Schedule teams appropriately to ensure labor budgets are achieved and business is cared for
• Communicate regularly with production and QC teams to align inventory with demand planning and production scheduling
• Review and adjust pricing for store accounts on a monthly basis
• Communicate pricing changes and inventory updates to relevant departments or store locations
• Conduct and oversee physical inventory counts at quarter-end
• Ensures company standards for safety, sanitation, and productivity are maintained
• Teaches, mentors, and educates associates to help them be successful members of the team
• Provides honest, direct, and constant feedback to associates regarding their performance and areas of improvement; assesses associate performance and influences promotion, discipline, etc.
• Completes assigned tasks efficiently and in a timely manner
• Sets a professional and positive example to others
• Assists as needed to ensure the success of the Central Production Facility as a whole
MARGINAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

• Consistent and daily interaction with Director and Manager of Central Production Facility

Desired knowledge, skills, and abilities:
A high school diploma or GED required; a bachelor's or master's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Food Science, or related field highly preferred; 5 years of inventory management experience in a food manufacturing or production facility, or other retail experience preferred; or any combination of education, experience, and training which provides the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
• Basic math skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and inventory tracking software
• Ability to interpret policies and procedures
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems
• Certification in Inventory Management or Supply Chain preferred
• Strong understanding of food safety, traceability, and inventory controls in a regulated environment
• Excellent organization and planning skills
• Experience implementing or optimizing ERP systems in a production environment
• Must possess solid communication skills, including verbal and listening skills in order to effectively and efficiently communicate with and manage diverse groups of people
• Ability to appropriately and professionally handle conflict
• Must possess the ability to accept constructive review and be accountable for one’s own success as well as the success of your team
• Required to make logical, significant decisions using general, recognized analytical skills and techniques
