Job Description

***$1,500 HIRE ON BONUS*** (Receive $500 paid at 1 month with perfect attendance, $500.00 at 6 months, and $500 at 1 year of employment)

Central Processing Technician will be trained in processing, storing, and distributing medical and surgical supplies and equipment. Position open 2pm-1030pm

Essential Job Duties:

Professional Standards

  1. Follow manufacturers recommendations and instructions for use with regards to cleaning and sterilization (1 & 4).
  2. Follow all guidelines for quality assurance monitoring.
  3. Adhere to evidence-based best practices.
  4. Monitor and maintain the proper environment in the department including temperature, humidity and traffic control.
  5. Adhere to proper attire including PPE.
  6. Acquire and update professional education
  7. Works closely with surgery for changes in instrument sets and procedures and keeps instrument lists current.
  8. Provides direction and collaborates with team members to support a healthy work environment.
  9. Takes responsibility for FTE hours, documentation, and maintaining unit budget.

Job Specifications:

  • Education: High school education
  • Certification: Certification in sterile processing or Scrub Technician preferred
  • Experience: Prefer previous hospital or healthcare experience but not required. Basic computer skills.
  • Requirement: must be in a 30 minute call radius.
