Central Plant Operator - Facilities ServicesTo ensure efficient operation of our central plant and related equipment. To maintain the functionality and safety of UMMC’s critical infrastructure including, boilers, chillers and pumps.
Education and Experience Required:
High School Diploma/GED and two (2) years of experience with operating and maintaining boilers, chillers, HVAC equipment, utility systems, or industrial mechanical equipment.
Certifications, Licenses, or Registration required:
Valid Driver's License required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Vocational or technical training in stationary engineering.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong knowledge of central plant equipment, including boilers, chillers and HVAC systems; Skilled in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems; Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently and in a team, including on-call and rotating shift schedules; Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy equipment and perform manual tasks as needed.
