About 8Fleet:

8Fleet is a Los Angeles–based technology and logistics company building the operational infrastructure behind modern rideshare fleets, both autonomous and non-autonomous. We operate in Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Atlanta, and Miami, with more markets launching soon.

We're hiring a Central Operations Associate, based at our Los Angeles HQ or in San Francisco.

About the Role:

Central Operations sits across every 8Fleet market. We own the processes, programs, and decisions that are better built once and run everywhere. The Central Operations Associate supports our Head of Central Operations in finding where the operation can work better, figuring out why, and making the fix stick. This is a role for someone early in their career who wants real exposure to how a physical operation runs at scale.

Your work will center on two things. First, the driver experience: understanding where drivers hit friction, from onboarding to shift to vehicle handoff, and turning that into changes that make 8Fleet a better place to drive. Second, cost: digging into where we spend, building the case for what to change, and following through until the savings show up in the numbers.

The job doesn't stop at the readout. When your analysis turns into a recommendation, it's yours to drive to done: aligning the teams involved, tracking the rollout, and measuring whether it worked. You'll learn to read operational data fluently, understand what drives cost and driver satisfaction, and work cross-functionally with people who don't report to you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze driver experience data (feedback, retention, shift and support trends) to find the biggest points of friction and what's driving them
• Develop and roll out initiatives that improve the driver experience, then measure their impact on retention, satisfaction, and performance
• Identify cost-savings opportunities across the operation (vehicles, maintenance, claims, labor, vendors) through analysis of spend and performance data
• Build clear recommendations with the data behind them, present them to leadership, and own follow-up through implementation and results
• Track central KPIs and savings against targets, and flag anomalies or slippage early
• Build and maintain dashboards, trackers, and reports that give Central Operations and market leadership visibility into how initiatives are performing
• Partner with market teams to roll out what works across every market, and keep playbooks and SOPs current
• Take ownership of a specific initiative, metric, or workstream as you grow in the role

Successful Candidates Will Bring

• 1–3 years of experience in operations, analytics, consulting, or a similar fast-paced, data-driven role
• Comfort in spreadsheets and real interest in what the numbers are telling you
• A track record of turning analysis into action: you've made a recommendation and seen it through
• Empathy for the people on the front line; you care how a change lands for drivers, not just how it looks on paper
• Strong attention to detail
• Clear written and verbal communication; you can explain what you found and why it matters to someone who wasn't in the weeds with you
• A bias toward action and comfort figuring things out without a playbook
• Willingness to travel to markets periodically
• Bachelor's degree required
• Experience with SQL or BI tools is a plus

Compensation

• Base Salary Range: $80,000–$90,000
