Job Description

The Central Office Student Assistant is the primary customer service representative in the central office. They perform a number of administrative and clerical tasks in support of our overall department goals and mission.

Position responsibilities include:

  • Provide consistent and positive customer service to telephone callers and visitors.
  • Distribute and sort mail for the Central Office staff.
  • Record telephone messages for Central Office staff.
  • Assist with data entry for accounts payable, etc.
  • Assist with the filing Residential Living and Learning related material.
  • Assist with the copying needs of the Residential Living and Learning Office
  • Complete additional responsibilities as assigned by appropriate staff.

Pay Rate is $13.50 per hour

Qualifications

  • COSA candidates must be enrolled as undergraduate students at the time of applying for the position and must remain enrolled as undergraduate students in order to serve as COSA.
  • Applicants need to live in the residence halls for at least one semester by the start of their COSA position (Students who started at CWRU in Fall 2025 or Spring 2026 are eligible for Summer 2026 and 2026-2027 academic year positions).
