The Community Engagement Strategist serves as a key connector between the DeKalb County School District (DCSD) and the broader community. This individual champions positive district and school messaging, strengthens
partnerships with educational institutions, local municipalities, and businesses, civic, and community organizations, and ensures every taxpayer and neighborhood feels informed, engaged, and valued.
Focusing on both strategic planning and grassroots outreach, the Strategist helps shape the public narrative around DCSD, builds lasting relationships, and celebrates the successes of students, staff, and schools. They work closely with the Community Engagement and Innovative Partnerships Division to align messaging and outreach efforts, and actively participate in district community meetings and events, particularly those related to the Student Assignment Project, to ensure a cohesive and informed approach to community engagement and district initiatives.

Located in metro Atlanta, our dedicated team of 14,500+ #DeKalbDifferenceMakers prepares 92,600+ scholars in 135 schools and centers for success as lifelong learners and responsible global citizens! This includes 68 elementary, 18 middle, and 18 high schools, 23 specialty schools and centers, and 8 charter schools.
