Title: Locksmith

Perform basic skilled tasks to install, repair, rebuild, and service mechanical or electrical locking devices while also establishing key codes and re-keying buildings. Perform duties under moderate supervision as an intermediate-level individual contributor.

Essential Functions:

• Complete routine and sometimes more robust tasks as assigned in a timely manner.
• Maintain, install, and repair all electric and magnetic locks, panic hardware, and safes to ensure the safety

of staff and students at each school.

• Originate codes and cut keys to accommodate specific locations while ensuring that locks work properly per

fire marshal code.

• Maintain accurate and complete records on all jobs, work orders, tools, and equipment.
• Obtain parts from suppliers as needed for maintenance and repair tasks.
• Key locks to master, grandmaster, and individual keys according to requirements.
• Collaborate with contractors and facilities/construction personnel regarding specifications for hardware and

keying of construction projects.

• Follow established standard operating procedures and systems to accomplish tasks.
• Perform additional duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate degree or high school diploma with some additional continuing education through a certification

program with a minimum of three (3) years of related experience required.
