When you join the Inpatient Teleservices team as a Central Monitor Technician (CMT) at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH, you are joining a team that works together to provide continuous telemetry monitoring to hospital patients who need close monitoring of their heart rhythms during their hospital stay.
We welcome applications from experienced technicians and from those interested in this unique and exciting opportunity who require training for the role.
A Central Monitoring Technician, or CMT, at DHMC is an integral member of the patient care team. As a CMT, you will receive on-the-job training to recognize heart rhythms and alert bedside care teams of changes or potential life-threatening emergencies.
If you enjoy anatomy and problem-solving, then a job as a CMT is the one you would want. If you are passionate about the medical industry, you can provide better patient care. Not everyone who likes the idea of physiology and anatomy needs to become a doctor.
Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the CMT continuously monitors heart rhythms and interprets dysrhythmias in accordance with policy and procedure.
This is a full-time, 36-hour-per-week position working 3 day/night rotating 12-hour shifts per week, with weekend (15%) and night shift (20%) differentials. This position is an on-site position located at our Lebanon, NH campus.
