of role

The Central Material Planning Analyst drive continuous improvement in MRP processes with Lear’s Electronics Plants. This role will monitor and audit the MRP processes of Lear's Electronics plants. The goal is to improve, centralize, and standardize Lear’s MRP processes globally to enhance efficiency by aligning supply with demand thereby mitigating costs associated with plant downtime, premium freight and excess inventory.

As a newly formed team, there is high visibility within the organization, as well as significant autonomy and opportunity to develop metrics and lead novel initiatives. The Central Material Planning Analyst regularly interacts with Lear leadership to communicate the progress on team initiatives.

Key Tasks

  • Monitor global plant coordinators adherence to MRP processes
  • Identify gaps in existing processes
  • Develop, document and train plant coordinators on optimized processes
  • As the expert on MRP, provide guidance and training as needed to the plant coordinators
  • Monitor global RM inventory trends to proactively address excess or short material
  • Analyze supplier schedules before and after each MRP run
  • Address coverage gaps with plant coordinators and escalate with suppliers for resolution
  • MRP parameter owner

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 5 years of supply chain experience
  • Experience with QAD
  • Expert in MRP
  • Experience with analyzing, creating and documenting processes
