Provides delivery, tracking, and record keeping for all patient care equipment maintained on the Scottish Rite or Egleston campus only. Promotes the mission, vision, and values of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, meets regulatory requirements, and maintains accurate records across the system. Proactively supports efforts that ensure delivery of safe patient care and services and promote a safe environment at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.

Experience

  • 6 months general stocking/warehouse experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficient in various PC hardware and software applications
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Availability and flexibility to work rotating shifts and overtime with little or no advance notice

Job Responsibilities

  • Delivers and assigns all patient equipment utilized on either Scottish Rite or Egleston campus.
  • Re-supplies patient care areas daily with equipment to be utilized as the census demands or for use after hours.
  • Monitors the activity of issued patient equipment to ensure accuracy of equipment assignments.
  • Works closely with Central Supply to ensure all patient equipment is disinfected properly.
  • Makes daily rounds to pick up discontinued equipment for disinfecting, takes malfunctioning equipment to Clinical Engineering for repairs, and keeps accurate documentation of these actions to meet Joint Commission requirements.
  • Orders and monitors use of additional rental equipment to ensure necessary stock levels during times of increased census.
  • Continually monitors rental equipment usage to properly track vendor billing of equipment and ensure equipment is returned when no longer necessary.
  • Supports and participates in the continuous assessment and improvement of the quality of services provided.
  • Rotates equipment in Materials Management and other storage areas to ensure consistent utilization.
  • Understands and complies with infection control, safety, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration procedures and regulations.
