Job Description

As a Central Benefits Partner I with OMES you will enjoy:

Job Details

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week in office position
  • Support the HCM Benefits team
  • Salary up to: $60,500 based on education and experience

Responsibilities

  • Manages and administers health, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, and FSA/HSA accounts.
  • Assists employees and agencies in enrolling in various flexible benefits under state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Oversees onboarding enrollments, qualifying life event changes, and terminations.
  • Advises plan participants, agency staff and others on participation requirement, enrollment and change procedures, reimbursement account rules, and other matters related to employee benefit plans.
  • Ensures compliance with ACA, federal, and state regulations.
  • Conducts benefit eligibility audits and data cleanup.
  • Collaborates with insurance carriers and third-party administrators.
  • Responds to requests from vendors and others concerning plan participants; coordinates with agency staff, plan participants and administrators as needed to correct individual accounts or other records.
  • Reviews and approves documents submitted for changes in benefit elections or plan participation.
  • Processes life events (e.g., marriage, divorce, dependents), open enrollment cycles, data corrections, and retroactive adjustments in Workday.
  • Continuous communication and customer service.
  • Conducts workshops, orientations, and meetings to explain benefit programs.
  • Subject Matter Experts for ACA, Section 125, specific Oklahoma state statutes and admin rules (Title 260), and other federal laws.
  • Assist in all areas within benefits as requested by Supervisor.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • This position works in a comfortable work environment a large percentage of the workday. The noise level in the work environment is usually mild. This position requires standing, bending, crouching, lifting or carrying up to 25 pounds, and climbing stairs. Occasional travel may be required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field; and
  • Three (3) years of relevant experience; or
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one (1) year of qualifying experience for each year of the required education.

Preference will be given to candidates who possess

  • Experience with Health Care Accounts and Dependent Savings Accounts
  • Experience with reporting
  • Microsoft Excel skills
  • A background in benefits
  • Workday experience
