Job Description

The Central Banking Operations Assistant is responsible for providing support and assistance to the Central Banking Operations (CBO) department, consisting of Adjustments & Research (A&R), Cash Center Vault (CCV), Central Operations (COD), and Operations Records (ORD). This position will perform general clerical and operational tasks within the four CBO divisions and is responsible for supporting all initiatives and projects impacting the division, as directed by Management.

Essential Duties

  • Support the Central Banking Operations Administrator and Director of Central Banking Operations with department tasks and projects.
    • Gather data for and prepare various reports.
    • Perform project-related tasks assigned by Management, including testing of new initiatives and processes.
  • Provide support and coverage within the CBO divisions:
    • Adjustments & Research Department – process return items, EARNS notification and reporting, file reconciliation, record storage, and research requests.
    • Cash Center Vault – process client deposits, perform branch cash reconciliation, handle client inquiries, and complete courier shipment tracking.
    • Central Operations Department – review and process operational reports, assist with the research requests related to legal processes, perform file maintenance, and process return mail.
    • Item Processing – receiving and balancing files, scanning, and proofing work, processing corrections.
    • Operations Records Department – perform file review for non-complex accounts and perform due diligence review.
  • Perform general clerical duties including but not limited to, photocopying, faxing, mailing, scanning, and filing.

Complies with all State and Federal Banking regulatory requirements, including but not limited to: BSA, Anti-Money Laundering OFAC, CIP, Financial Elder Abuse Reporting, Sexual Harassment, Information Security, and privacy requirements. This position will elevate suspicious activity to supervisory staff and/or BSA department. Completes compliance and other technical training workshops as assigned.

Officer Title Eligibility

For qualified positions, the Bank may designate Officer Titles to employees who meet defined competencies for an eligible position. This position is not eligible for an Officer Title.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Office setting w/controlled temperature.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
