At Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, every interaction matters. As a Customer Communications Liaison, you will often be the first voice patients, caregivers, and community providers connect with when they need answers, guidance, or reassurance.
This role plays a critical part in helping people navigate cancer care with clarity and confidence. You will connect patients to the right services, support referring providers, and help ensure every question is met with compassion, accuracy, and follow‑through.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The starting annual salary for this position is $59,787 and this can include a full comprehensive benefits package.
What You’ll Do:
Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, caregivers, and community healthcare providers through phone, email, chat, web, and CRM systems
Answer questions and share clear information about cancer care, supportive services, clinical trials, and community resources
Help initiate care by partnering with the new patient referral team and guiding patients through next steps
Coordinate communication between patients, caregivers, and clinical or supportive care teams
Investigate questions or concerns, connect people to the right resources, and follow up to ensure a positive experience
Act as the main communication link for community and referring physicians, ensuring timely connections with Roswell Park providers
Accurately document interactions and maintain patient information within the CRM system
Support patient portal questions and assist with basic technology or access issues
Collaborate with technology teams and internal departments to improve tools, workflows, and the overall patient experience
Share patient feedback and help identify opportunities to improve services and processes
Support operational needs such as on‑call schedules and mobility systems that keep communication running smoothly

Curiosity and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to think analytically and creatively
Confidence using technology, including CRM systems, communication tools, and digital platforms
Attention to detail when documenting information and maintaining records
A collaborative approach and willingness to work across teams
Experience working with patients, customers, or service‑focused environments is helpful, especially in healthcare, but not required

Required Education and Experience
Associate’s degree in Education, Health, Human Services, Nursing, Communications or a related field.

Degrees must be conferred by an accredited school, college, or university, or by an institution recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and/or Health Research Incorporated as adhering to acceptable educational standards.
