The PMO Center of Excellence Manager leads the training, certification, and continuous improvement efforts across PGS. This role oversees PMO development programs, supports successful execution of service initiatives, and drives process and tool improvements to enhance project management capability across the organization. The manager collaborates cross-functionally, develops training content, manages KPI reporting, and ensures consistent PMO standards while supporting employee development through coaching and mentoring.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of the company-wide Project Management Certification Program.
  • Deliver engaging training experiences, including capstone events and interdepartmental learning sessions.
  • Build and maintain skills and certification programs that support project manager career growth.
  • Oversee certification tracking and development activities using Learning Management Systems.
  • Improve PMO tools, workflows, SOPs, and project management standards.
  • Collaborate across teams to streamline practices and support successful execution of Service Operations initiatives.
  • Develop and report KPIs and metrics using Business Intelligence tools to guide strategic decisions.
  • Conduct audits of PMO processes and certifications to drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to strengthen project management capability across PGS.
  • Coordinate major PMO events, including the annual Service Operations Summit, with up to 15% travel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Industrial Engineering, Organizational Psychology, or Computer Science.
  • Experience leading teams in continuous improvement, project management, or adult learning.
  • Strong ability to interpret technical and business documents and produce clear written communication.
  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as probability, statistics, and geometry.
  • Strong reasoning skills with ability to solve problems and manage abstract variables.
  • Knowledge of project management tools, LMS platforms, and Business Intelligence systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related software.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds as required.
