Job Description

Job Title: Center Director
Location: Wonderspring New Market West Center
Pay: $60,000 per year

Wonderspring, a nonprofit early childhood education organization, is seeking a Center Director to join our New Market West team. In this role, you will lead a team at a STAR 4 Early Childhood Education Center located in West Philadelphia.

About the Role
In this role, you will lead the day-to-day operations of a STAR 4 center with PHLpreK and PreK Counts programs along with a mixed age Toddler Classroom.
  • Oversee the quality of our programs, making learning an exciting adventure.
  • Achieve enrollment goals by building strong relationships with families.
  • Bring creative ideas to life in our classrooms.
  • Ensure our center remains secure and welcoming for all.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with partner agencies
  • Lead and support a fantastic group of educators.
  • Maintain all regulatory and licensing standards to keep us shining bright.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or Elementary Education
  • PA Director’s Credential, required
  • At least 2 years related center management experience of mid-size Early Childhood programs
  • Experience successfully partnering with multiple agencies, preferred
  • Outstanding relationship builder within community
  • Demonstrated ability to manage the successful day to day operations of a high-quality center
  • Knowledge and understanding of Keystone STARS
  • Knowledge and experience with Creative Curriculum & PATHS, preferred
  • Must meet all DHS requirements, including current clearances (PA State Police, Child Abuse, FBI, NSOR) and a Health Assessment with TB test.

Founded in 1964, Wonderspring is a regional leader in providing families throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania with affordable, high quality educational environments for children 6 weeks to 12 years old. Today, Wonderspring serves over 1,000 children through its 10 early childhood and school age sites in Montgomery and Philadelphia Counties. Included in this number are Early Head Start and Pennsylvania Pre-K Counts programs.
