Project Objective

Support the Corporate Affairs team in monitoring, analyzing, and synthesizing international political, economic, and regulatory developments.
Strengthen strategic intelligence to support executive decision-making in key countries and regions of interest to Cemex, with a particular focus on North America.

Challenges for the Students

Contribute to the preparation of strategic materials, reports, briefing documents, and data-driven analysis to support decision-making, stakeholder engagement, and regional competitiveness initiatives.
The role also involves organizing and visualizing information related to public policy, trade, geopolitical developments, bilateral and trilateral relations, and private sector priorities in North America.

Main Responsibilities and Activities to Be Carried Out

Analyze complex political and economic developments in a fast-paced regional environment.
Monitor and synthesize large volumes of information from government, media, industry, and policy sources.
Translate technical or highly political information into concise and executive-level materials.
Work under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Support cross-functional projects involving private sector stakeholders, public institutions, and international organizations.
Strengthen data analysis and visualization capabilities for policy and economic reporting.

Specific Requirements / Qualifications

Students currently enrolled in the 7th to 10th semester of International Relations, Political Science, Economics, Public Policy, International Business, or related fields.
Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken) required.
Strong drafting and communication skills in both English and Spanish.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to conduct policy and economic research using reliable sources.
Strong analytical and research skills.
Attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
Interest in North American affairs, international trade, public policy, and government relations.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a professional team setting.
