The Clinical Laboratory for Cellular Therapy (CLfCT) is a FACT accredited facility for processing stem cell transplant & donor lymphocyte collections and processing cellular therapy products for investigatory clinical trials including CD34 selections, CAR-T and TIL infusions and manufacturing Immune Effector Cell Therapies (IECT). Cell Therapy Specialists will perform innovative techniques such as cell counting, flow cytometry for lymphocyte subsetting, plasma reduction, RBC reduction, cryopreservation and will become proficient in the use of cell manufacturing equipment such as CliniMACS PLUS, CliniMACS PRODIGY, Quantum Bioreactor for cell expansion. Cellular Therapy Specialists will participate in many sponsor-initiated clinical trials involving a variety of cell-based therapeutics. As the field of cell therapy continues to expand, Cellular Therapy Specialists will also participate in the development of cutting edge protocols and procedures for manufacturing new products. Cellular Therapy Specialists participate in the quality management program and ensure daily operations are in compliance with regulatory/accredidation requirements including FACT, FDA, CLIA, CAP and JCAHO.
