We have an exciting opportunity to join our winery team in a full time position at our Hunter Valley winery. A hands on position working on all steps of the winemaking process from fruit receival to preparing the wines for bottling.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Participate in the daily operations of the winery during the vintage period including, receipt of fruit, crushing, pressing and processing.
• Maintenance of these wines during storage and maturation.
• Perform as and when required, any laboratory technical analysis during the winemaking process.
• Ensure that work areas are maintained in an appropriate state of cleanliness, organisation and hygiene
• Work in a safe manner and contribute to a positive safety and work culture.
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
• Good communication skills and attention to detail
• Be willing and able to perform physically demanding work.
• Strong focus on safety
• Be a team player
• Forklift licence is desirable but not essential
• Experience in the wine industry is an advantage, but not essential
