Cellar door sales – Pooles Rock and Audrey Wilkinson

At Agnew Wines we have exciting opportunities at both our cellar doors. Depending on your preference and personality we have the position for you.

If you like a busy, vibrant cellar door that offers a variety of experiences and tasting options then Audrey Wilkinson is for you. Located in the heart of the Pokolbin wine district, Audrey Wilkinson is one of the most visited cellar doors receiving up to 120, 000 visitors per year due to its breathtaking views, award-winning wines, private wine experiences and wine club member events. High energy and bubbly personality are a must.

If you prefer a more intimate cellar door that offers bespoke tastings, then join our boutique Pooles Rock cellar door. Located on the historic Post Office Vineyard, surrounded by the region’s oldest shiraz vines and adjacent to our winery, our Pooles Rock cellar door provides the best of the Hunter Valley classics.

We are looking for people who have a passion for history, storytelling and performance who can create unique and memorable experiences for our guests. Ideally you will have hospitality experience with a good eye for presentation and detail. Wine knowledge or experience is desirable but not essential.

Regular weekend availably is essential for both cellar doors.

The ideal candidate will have

• Excellent communication skills
• Effective team player
• Physically fit and capable of lifting cases of wine
• Exceptional customer service skills
• High level of personal presentation
• A friendly and personable nature with a "can do" attitude

Duties and responsibilities

• Providing exceptional customer service whilst maintaining a sales focus
• Promoting experiences, products and memberships
• Conducting bespoke and personal wine tastings for visitors
• Hosting Wine Club member experiences as required
• Assisting with day to day running of the cellar door
• Processing sales and transactions
• Maintaining stock levels to ensure stock integrity
• Maintaining cellar door high standards of presentation
• Ability to meet tight deadlines
• Highly developed communication skills with the ability to listen and evaluate guests needs
• Effective time management and a proactive approach to work every day

Essential requirements

• Current RSA qualifications
• Ability and willingness to work regular weekends and weekdays
• Customer experience
• High level attention to detail

Preferred but, not essential

• Hospitality experience
• Event / function experience
• Knowledge/experience in wine & the wine industry
