Job Purpose
The Cell Site Field Maintenance Intern will assist in maintaining mobile network infrastructure such as BTS towers, antennas, and power systems. The role requires field mobility, troubleshooting support, and round-the-clock availability
Key Responsibilities
· Assist in maintenance and fault resolution of cell sites (BTS stations)
· Support installation and inspection of antennas, radios, and transmission equipment
· Work on power systems (batteries, rectifiers, generators) at telecom sites
· Perform site checks, preventive maintenance, and reporting of issues
· Assist engineers during tower visits and technical field operations
· Travel frequently across multiple cell sites for maintenance work
· Respond to network faults and outages when required
Knowledge & Experience
· Basic understanding of mobile communication networks
· Familiarity with cell site components such as BTS (Base Transceiver Station), antennas, and transmission equipment
· Awareness of basic telecom power systems including batteries, rectifiers, and backup power supply systems
· Exposure (academic or practical) to telecom site operations or maintenance activities is preferred
· Any prior hands-on experience in field-based technical work or telecom infrastructure is an added advantage
· Understanding of site safety practices and outdoor technical work environment is beneficial
