The Bridal Artist provides elevated luxury services tailored specifically to brides and their bridal parties on their wedding day. Services will align with AHC's standard bridal offerings, with the opportunity to include nail services for select bridal parties when requested. This role is an on-site service provider - Bridal Parties take place in Celeste Salon and Spa, hotel rooms inside of the JW Marriott or Amway Grand Plaza, and with potential travel; up to 100 miles away from the Amway Grand Plaza.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Must be able to work weekends and anytime during peak wedding season (May-November)

- Prep and style hair in the latest bridal trends and traditional styles

- Professionally apply long-wear, airbrush or traditional makeup, customizing looks to match the wedding theme or personal style

- Have complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products offered.

- Properly care for equipment and use proper amounts of product to assist with cost controls.

- Strong attention to detail and a warm, client focused presence

- On time for appointments and able to stay within our service time for guests

- Actively promote the spas, treatments, services and retail through marketing and promotional events.

- Effectively inform and educate our guests about their specific questions or concerns in a professional and courteous manner

- Provide accurate, appropriate, and immediate responses to all requests by guests.

- Possess the ability to work without direct supervision.

- Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management.

REQUIRED SKILLS

- Must possess excellent communication, listening and customer service skills.
- Must possess basic computer knowledge.
- Must enjoy working with people as part of a larger team
- Ability to interpret a client's vision and create a customized, desirable look for the bride and their party
- Ability to read and understand instructions or documents such as guest intake forms, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, etc. furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- Ability to write guest intake notes and correspondence.
- Ability to speak professionally and effectively before guests or associates of the organization.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Completion of Esthetics and/or Cosmetology program is required
- Must hold and maintain a current state license in Cosmetology or Esthetics
- Previous cosmetology or esthetician experience is preferred
- Previous experience working with bridal parties is preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours
- Is regularly required to stand and walk.
- Is regularly required to talk or hear.
- Is required to use body strength to perform services
- Is required to use appropriate body mechanics during services to reduce injury
- Is occasionally required to sit and stoop; kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
