Your impact:
- Supervises subordinate inspectors responsible for monitoring work quality and performance
- Reviews project activities with contractor's field supervision to resolve disputes and other project issues
- Read and Interpret contract plans and specifications
- Read and interpret construction contract language
- Possess current material testing certifications as applicable for earthwork, asphalt, concrete, pile driving, drilled shafts, etc
- Material testing and documentation of acceptance
- Inspection of and documentation of contractors quality of work
- Review/coordinate and prepare responses to project correspondence, RFIs and technical submittals
- Other duties as assigned
Who you are:
- 7+ years of CEI and construction experience on road and bridge infrastructure DOT projects are preferred.
- Willingness to work weekends, nights, and swing shifts as required on assigned projects
- Requires progressive work related experience
- Work requires ability to gather and understand technical data for purposes of generating advanced technical reports
- Requires advanced knowledge of construction practices and principles
- Must be able to interpret plans, standards and specifications.
- Good understanding of construction specifications and plans.
- Must have the ability to perform mathematical calculations.
- Must have a working knowledge of Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of DOT specification and standards is required.
- Ability to effectively lead a team of inspectors.
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
