ASRC Federal Communications is seeking a CE Superintendent for our ISS2 contract supporting our Air Force customer. This position is located on Wake Island. It’s a rotational position in which the selected employee will work a schedule of three months on the island and one month off rotation. Wake Island is 2,100 miles away from HNL. While working on-site housing is provided in the form of a dormitory facility. All meals are furnished through the cafeteria.

The CE Superintendent is responsible for scheduling and supervising all installation, maintenance, modification, overhaul, service, preventative maintenance, and repair of all facilities on Wake Island Airfield. The CE Superintendent manages all personnel in the CE group and schedules and assigns work, schedules TOS times, handles pay, and timecard issues, implements required employee discipline when required, and performs other duties and assignments as required by ASRC Management.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate, inspect, maintain, and manage the repair the various types of structural components in permanent, semi-permanent and temporary facilities.
• Manage the maintenance and repair of personnel doors and components; automatic entrance doors and components; locks; locking devices; panic hardware; door closers; windows and components; siding; interior/exterior trim; framing; roof systems; flashing and gutter systems; walls and partitions components; interior and exterior carpentry; masonry; metal fabrication work; welding support, to include oxy/acetylene cutting; ceiling systems; stairs, tile, wood, vinyl, etc floors; corrosion control; painting and striping, including pavement marking; remodeling; refurbishing existing facilities; protective coatings; demolition; forms for concrete work; shoring; welding, electrical, alarm (Fire and Security), fencing and locksmith services.
• Conduct all PM maintenance as scheduled and reduce any PM backlog.
• Perform DSWs as assigned.
• Monitor corrosion and conduct corrosion control as needed.
• Manage and supervise the Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical (Lineman, High and Low Voltage), Welding, Carpenter, Painters, Building & Grounds, Locksmith, Labor, General Maintenance, Alarm Tech (Fire and Security) Leads, and personnel.
• Prioritize and assign work in such a manner as to comply with the Performance Work Standards.
• Initiate purchase request following local guidance in order to procure repair and bench stock materials.
• Make purchase requisitions within budgetary constraints.
• Submit yearly Barge Resupply Orders in a timely manner.
• Give clear directions to technicians as to what is expected of them.
• Become familiar with company rules and enforce compliance.
• Monitor job completion times. Adjust as necessary to ensure timely completion.
• Maintain sufficient inventory of parts and supplies to complete expected tasking.
• Maintain work center, shops, and common areas in a clean and organized manner.
• Ensure all vehicles and equipment are kept clean and free of clutter and receive scheduled maintenance on time.
• Ensure all tools are accounted for and maintained in working condition
• Submit all tools and instruments to PMEL for calibration as scheduled.
• Ensure all work orders all completed in a timely manner and submitted to Production Control for processing.
• Ensure all employee Dailies are completed and submitted to Production Control for processing.
• Document and submit weekly/monthly accomplishments to site leadership for consolidation into reports.
• Comply with all PWS requirements. Provide feedback to the Quality Control Manager on compliance to the PWS.
• Conduct a weekly CE Safety meeting and ensure all CE Work Centers conduct a Daily Toolbox Safety Briefing.
• Ensure all CE Personnel wear the required PPE for all jobs.
• Monitor safety trends to reduce and eliminate accidents. Complete and file all accident and incident reports.

REQUIREMENTS AND CERTIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of related experience or HS diploma/GED + 6-8 years of work-related experience.
• A Trade Certification or License at the Journeyman or Master Technician level is preferred in one of the trades that the CE Superintendent manages.
• Minimum 1 year of Residential and Commercial construction with at least 3 years of supervision or management, with the ability to read and interpret blueprints.

• Knowledge of AIMS is preferred
• OSHA 30 preferred
• CPR – First Aid certification preferred
• Experience maintaining and controlling shop inventories.
• Valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
• Must pass a background check, drug screening, fingerprints, and a fit-for-duty physical exam; candidates must be medically cleared for long-term residency in a remote location with limited access to healthcare.
