The Canberra Deep Space Communication Complex (CDSCC) supports ground-based spacecraft telecommunications as part of the international National Aeronautic Space Administration (NASA) Deep Space Network (DSN), under contractual arrangements between NASA and the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO).
Join the ICT team at the Canberra Deep Space Communication Complex and contribute to the reliable delivery of technology services supporting NASA’s Deep Space Network.
In this hands-on role, you will provide ICT support across desktop and laptop systems, servers, network infrastructure, critical communications, collaboration tools, data storage, physical security systems and cyber security services. You will be a key contact for ICT enquiries, diagnosing and resolving first-level issues while escalating more complex matters when required.
This is an exciting opportunity for an adaptable and customer-focused ICT professional who enjoys solving problems, learning new technologies and working collaboratively across a diverse range of technical activities. The role is available on an indefinite basis, with full-time or part-time arrangements from 0.6 to 0.9 FTE available. Relocation assistance may also be provided to the successful candidate, if required. Salary: AU$77,792 to AU$105,250 pa, plus Tracking Station Allowance of $139.16 per week, plus 15.4% superannuation (also eligible for fleet transport to & from site within a defined Canberra region)
Tenure & work schedule: Indefinite, Full-time on a 9-day fortnightly schedule or part-time of atleast 0.6FTE
