Costco’s International E-Commerce team provides IT support to 11 countries outside the continental US and Canada. The team is creating products and solutions via Web and Mobile App to give users an exceptional online and mobile experience. The intern will work on features that will one-day be used by members overseas. They will also be immersed in the Costco Culture.

This role oversees the processes, practices, and execution of both manual and automated UAT, BAT, and Regression testing for all countries deployed on the Costco International ECommerce solution. These practices must be managed within Costco Confluence/JIRA (or other approved repository) and adhered to globally. This role will be required to oversee the execution of these practices for every release by every country.

NOTE: While participating in the IT Internship program, an individual will be classified as an hourly temporary employee for the duration of the program. During the program, the individual may be asked to undergo the normal interview process for a level 1 position. If the individual is offered a position, they will be converted to the employment status matching open job they were selected for. If they are not selected for a regular position, the internship position will be complete in a maximum of twelve weeks.

• Designs, develops, and executes software test strategies, test plans, and test scripts.

• Confirms accuracy and completeness of functional, integration, system, end to end, and acceptance test plans.

• Designs, creates, and approves (or oversees the creation and approval of) project test cases, scripts, and conditions, as well as QA-related documentation.

Required:

• Knowledge around software testing

• Knowledge of functional and back-end testing of eCommerce websites and backend applications.

• Experience using industry standard software QA tools.

• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and problem solving skills

• Strong knowledge of SDLC and SQA methodology, as well as experience testing on an Agile team.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Possess good organizational, time, and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize, and stay well organized.

• Currently maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

• Students currently enrolled in an IT or related undergraduate or graduate program at a community college, college or university.

Recommended:

• Degree or pursuing a degree in Computer Science or in a related technical field preferred.

• Some retail business knowledge.

• Experience with projects focused on infrastructures and software solutions.

• SQA experience working within an iterative development framework.

• Knowledge of French, Spanish, Korean, and Mandarin is a plus.

• Proficient in the use of Google products: email, spreadsheet, document, presentation, and analytics.

• Proficient in Google Workspace applications, including Sheets, Docs, Slides, and Gmail.

Pay Range: $31.90/hr,
