About the Opportunity

We’re currently seeking passionate chefs at all skill levels to join our dynamic culinary team. Across our resort, our chefs work in a diverse range of kitchens — from a large main production kitchen to a high‑volume conference and events operation, as well as multiple restaurant outlets. Using high‑quality, fresh produce, our team consistently delivers exceptional cuisine and memorable dining experiences for our guests.

Our team work a 7 day rotating roster including evenings, weekends & public holidays. Our various kitchens cater for breakfast, lunch and dinner service, late night IRD and large C&E groups of up to 1000 pax.

Your key responsibilities for the role include:

  • Perform kitchen operation duties
  • Perform knife skills, mis en place, cooking techniques & duties
  • Produce a consistent high quality product & standard
  • Maintain equipment, utensils and a clean & hygienic kitchen
  • Rotate stock, ensuring minimal wastage
  • Work well in a team environment and follow directions from senior chefs
  • Follow WHS, policies and procedures

What you’ll need to be successful

  • Flexibility and availability to work a 7-day rotating roster - weekdays, evenings, weekends & public holidays. Our team work between 5am - midnight

  • Completed a vocationally accredited Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery qualification, for Commis role & higher, essential

  • Previous cooking experience in a 4-5 star hotel/resort commercial kitchen, essential
  • Knife, food preparation & cookery skills ie. conference & events, larder, grill, buffet and short order
  • Understanding of kitchen sections, service styles, mis en place procedures, food items, cookery techniques, sauces, cold larder, vegetables & butchery
  • Thrive in a large, busy & fast paced work environment, with efficiency, organisation, time management and attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills, can follow direction and work well in a team environment
  • Committed and a passion for cooking with a strong focus on food quality and presentation
  • Excellent grooming & personal presentation
