  • About the Opportunity
  • We’re currently seeking passionate chefs at all skill levels to join our dynamic culinary team. Across RACV City Club, our chefs have the opportunity to work across a variety of kitchens and dining experiences, from our busy bistro and café operations to high-volume conference and events catering, as well as premium dining outlets. Using high‑quality, fresh produce, our team consistently delivers exceptional cuisine and memorable dining experiences for our guests.
  • Our team work a 7 day rotating roster including evenings, weekends & public holidays. Our various kitchens cater for breakfast, lunch and dinner service, in-room dining and large C&E groups.

  • Perform kitchen operation duties
  • Perform knife skills, mis en place, cooking techniques & duties
  • Produce a consistent high quality product & standard
  • Maintain equipment, utensils and a clean & hygienic kitchen
  • Rotate stock, ensuring minimal wastage
  • Work well in a team environment and follow directions from senior chefs
  • Follow WHS, policies and procedures
  • Flexibility and availability to work a 7-day rotating roster - weekdays, evenings, weekends & public holidays. Our team work between 5am - midnight
  • Completed a vocationally accredited Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery qualification, for Commis role & higher, essential
  • Previous cooking experience in a 4-5 star hotel/resort commercial kitchen, essential
  • Knife, food preparation & cookery skills ie. conference & events, larder, grill, buffet and short order
  • Understanding of kitchen sections, service styles, mis en place procedures, food items, cookery techniques, sauces, cold larder, vegetables & butchery
  • Thrive in a large, busy & fast paced work environment, with efficiency, organisation, time management and attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills, can follow direction and work well in a team environment
  • Committed and a passion for cooking with a strong focus on food quality and presentation
  • Excellent grooming & personal presentation
  • Chef de Partie, Demi, Commi & Apprentice Chef levels available to suit your experience & skill level
