The Data Governance Analyst collects data on products, material, customer, vendor, sales numbers, market research, logistics, or other behaviors. The role requires technical expertise to ensure the quality and accuracy of that data, then process, design, and present it in ways to help people, businesses, and organizations make better decisions.
The Data Governance Data Analyst ensures the quality, accuracy, credibility and integrity of data across different business applications that use master data elements. They are the primary point of contact for master data issues.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Creation, maintenance, and analyses of master data.
Designs solutions to consolidate and analyze unstructured, diverse “big data" sources to generate actionable insights and solutions for client services and product enhancement.
Develops solutions to automate processes to assist with cleansing, integration and evaluation of master data from multiple disparate sources.
Identifies meaningful insights from large data and metadata sources; interprets and communicates insights and findings from analysis and experiments to product, service, and business managers.
Provides support for the master data application system(s) by acting as liaison amongst the user community, application vendors as necessary, and with the different Connected Technology teams.
Continually monitors business organizations' needs and requirements, alerting the organization of new and changing requirements.
Contributes to development of policies and procedures for ensuring the quality, security and integrity of master data and business applications.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Management, Engineering, or related courses
• 3-5 years related experience
