
The CDL Shuttle Driver is responsible for safely operating a company vehicle in the daily delivery of customer products. They will transfer furniture and be required to load goods properly, efficiently, and safely onto trucks to be transported to our stores. The driver will be required to follow all safety rules, State/Federal driving laws, and all company policies and procedures. They will be responsible for the unloading of goods at stores in a respectful, efficient, and proper manner. Shuttle drivers will be required to pick up floor sample goods to be brought back to the DC prior to delivery. Floor sample goods must be properly wrapped and padded to avoid damage. Upon returning to the warehouse floor sample goods will need to be identified and tagged according to product model numbers. The driver must exercise safety in a all facets of the job, from proper lifting to safely operating a company vehicle, while providing outstanding customer service to our stores.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities but is able to provide guidance to back-room stock personnel to ensure proper protection of goods returning to DC. Communication with management is key to ensuring proper systematic and physical inventory movement.
Work Environment
This job operates in a warehouse and dock environment and operating a delivery truck / vehicle during deliveries. This role routinely uses tools to aid in furniture movement and protection. On the dock, the temperature varies by the season and the area is not well insulated due to all the dock doors being opened during load out. Subject to working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Requirements
Physical Demands:
The employee must safely operate a company vehicle. They are occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 150 pounds or move with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

The shift for this position is 12:00am-7:00am and is a full-time position. Shifts may vary based on the needs of the business. Once a route is assigned, the expectation is that the work shift is not over until the final delivery is completed. Overtime may be required based on the needs of the business.
