Job Description

Plaisted Companies has openings for a dependable, safety-focused Class A CDL Driver to support our Sand & Gravel Division during peak season (spring through early fall). This role involves hauling aggregates and materials using dump truck, end dump, pup & truck, and flatbed equipment.

Drivers interested in year-round work may have the opportunity to cross-train and assist our Propane Division during late fall and winter months.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company trucks and trailers to haul sand, gravel, and other materials
• Operate a dump truck, End dump, Pup & truck, Flatbed
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety policies
• Complete accurate daily paperwork, delivery tickets, and logs
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Report maintenance needs and safety concerns promptly
• Communicate clearly with dispatch, customers, and team members

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL
• Clean driving record (no more than one moving violation in past 2 years)
• Strong safety mindset, reliability, and customer service skills
• Ability to pass a 5-panel drug test and physical exam
• Willingness to obtain Hazmat/Tanker endorsement in the future (if needed)

Requirements

Must hold Class A CDL-

• No more than one moving violation in the previous 2 years
• Pass a 5 Panel Drug test (Urinalysis)
• Pass a Back and Extremity exam
• Be 21yrs + of age
• Unexpired Medical Card
