Job Title: Feed Delivery Driver

Department: Feed Mill

Location: Trillium Farms- Croton, Ohio

Reports To: Feed Mill Manager

Job Type: Full time- HOME EVERY NIGHT!

Compensation: starting at $27.00/hr

The Feed Delivery Driver is responsible for safely transporting and delivering poultry feed to farms while ensuring accurate weighing, loading, and unloading of bulk feed. This role requires a valid Driver’s License CDL and adherence to DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards. The driver will perform vehicle inspections, operate material handling equipment, and provide courteous service to farm staff, supporting efficient and reliable feed delivery operations.

Essential Job Functions

  • Safely operate company trucks to deliver and pick up poultry feed
  • Weigh, load, and unload bulk feed using proper equipment and procedures
  • Perform vehicle inspections, maintenance checks, and complete required reports
  • Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company safety regulations
  • Maintain delivery documentation and logs accurately
  • Provide professional and courteous customer service during deliveries
  • Assist with other farm operations tasks as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
    • CDL and appropriate endorsements required if operating larger vehicles
  • 2+ years of experience operating a vehicle
  • Ability to weigh, load, and safely transport bulk feed
  • Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and company safety requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions (hot, cold, wet)
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends and holiday hours as required based on production demand

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in agricultural or feed delivery logistics
  • Familiarity with farm operations and safety practices
  • Basic mechanical knowledge for vehicle troubleshooting and maintenance

Work Environment

This position involves prolonged periods of driving and sitting, along with operating material handling equipment. Work is primarily outdoors and requires exposure to extreme weather conditions, including heat and cold. Local travel between farms is required, with occasional additional deliveries to nearby locations. The role demands strict adherence to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and the ability to handle potentially hazardous materials responsibly. Drivers must notify the employer of all traffic and DOT violations within 24 hours.
