Job Description

The Dump Truck Driver (Super 16) is responsible for safely operating a dump truck to transport materials to and from job sites. This role requires adherence to DOT regulations, safe driving practices, and the ability to work flexible hours in physically demanding outdoor conditions under the direction of the Head of AZ Travel.

Compensation: Job Type: Full-time Salary: $25H / Overtime DOE

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate Super 16 dump truck safely and efficiently
  • Maintain vehicle in a clean, organized, and safe condition
  • Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip DOT inspections
  • Report and document maintenance or safety issues promptly
  • Complete daily paperwork, including time sheets, truck reports, and scale tickets
  • Load and unload materials as required
  • Follow dispatcher instructions and job site directions
  • Maintain punctual attendance and reliability
  • Work cooperatively with coworkers and management
  • Work outdoors in extreme temperatures (hot and cold)
  • Travel and work nights, overtime, weekends, and out‑of‑town assignments as needed
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant driving experience
  • Valid Class A CDL with required endorsements
  • Tanker endorsement (N) required
  • Clean driving record for the past 3 years
  • Valid DOT medical card
  • Ability to work outdoors in hot and physically demanding conditions
  • Able to travel and work flexible hours as required
  • Must pass drug testing
  • Must be able to work under the Head of AZ Travel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Dump truck or Super 16 driving experience preferred
  • Ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50+ pounds
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while driving
  • Ability to bend, twist, squat, kneel, and climb ladders or stairs
  • Ability to reach above and below shoulder level
  • Operate hand and foot controls safely
