Job Description

Stallion is looking for a CDL Driver - Class A with no restrictions to join our team and safety transport shipping/connex containers to and from customer sites. This driver will drive a pick-up truck with a gooseneck and will primarily work locally with occasional day trips and will be home every night. The driver may drive a Route Service truck when they are not driving a CDL required truck.

Role Priorities/Responsibilities:

  • Safely transport products to and from various locations
  • General pick up and delivery of rental assets including light towers, generators, solar security trailers, luxury restroom trailers, etc.
  • Safely load, unload, and provide services for our customers
  • Be able to follow DOT requirements
  • Ensures compliance with all company and regulatory health, safety, and environmental requirements including, but not limited to: completing daily Job Safety Analysis, pre/post-trip inspection reports, near miss and hazard reports, and an accurate daily drivers log.
  • Ability to read, operate and understand an electronic map/gps/dispatching system utilizing a phone or iPad.
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the job (prolonged physical exertions, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing).
  • Ensures proper maintenance of truck and equipment to maintain proper working and safety requirements.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • Works in a variety of environmental conditions, including wide temperature and weather variations including heat, cold, snow, rain, wind; noise and vibrations, fumes, odors, and dust.
  • Possible exposure to high traffic conditions while outside of the vehicle.
  • This position is outdoors and/or driving GPS monitored vehicle
  • Physically able to push, or pull independently (unassisted) 50 pounds between 25 - 50 times a day
  • Physically able to lift independently (unassisted) 50 pounds from the ground to waist height between 25 and 50 times a day
  • Physically able to get up and down from the cab of a commercial motor vehicle between 30 and 50 times a day
  • Physically able to bend at the waist and knees between 120-150 times in a day
  • Physically able to reach overhead and pull down using 20 pounds of force and secure straps
  • Physically able to climb up to 8 feet in height to attach straps

Education or Certification required:

  • Age 21 or above
  • Must have at least one year of experience
  • TWIC card preferred
  • Must possess a valid Commercial Driver's license -- Class A with no restrictions and a medical DoT card
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a motor vehicle record that meets fleet insurance requirements (no more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years)
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background screen and DISA drug and alcohol screen
  • Stallion enforces a drug free workforce and random drug and alcohol screenings will be done
