INDUSTRY: Heavy Civil Construction / Equipment Transport

LOCATION: San Antonio, TX / Comfort, TX (Willingness to commute highly preferred)

CONTEXT: A premier regional operator is seeking a highly experienced and reliable CDL Class A Driver to join their team. This role is dedicated to the transport of critical heavy machinery and earthmoving equipment across the region. The position requires an elite driver with an extensive background in specialized transport, specifically handling diverse trailer types and high-tonnage loads. Candidates residing in the San Antonio or Comfort areas who are willing to commute to dispatch locations are highly preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Safely load, secure, transport, and unload high-tonnage heavy earthmoving equipment, ranging from D8 dozers to larger earthmoving equipment of all types and ranges.
• Operate a variety of specialized transport equipment, including flatbeds and lowboys.
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip commercial vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
• Correctly secure heavy equipment loads in strict compliance with DOT regulations.
• Maintain accurate driver logs, trip records, and transport documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record.
• 10+ years of dedicated experience transporting heavy equipment and hauling large earthmoving machinery.
• Proven experience operating trailer types ranging from flatbeds to lowboys.
• Preferred proficiency in operating both automatic and manual transmissions (no manual restrictions preferred).
• Safety-minded professional with a strong commitment to compliance and secure transport protocols.
• Proximity to the San Antonio or Comfort, TX areas with a reliable commute to dispatch yards.
