Hourly base pay rate is $16.59 - $24.86/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Cox Fleetis currently hiring a CDL BDriver– Vehicle Porterto join our Shop Team to support the future growth of the Company.

Duties:

  • Shuttle commercial vehicles to be repaired or post repairs between our maintenance shop and our customers in the surrounding area - be home every evening

  • Pick up and deliver parts from local parts stores/distribution centers back to our maintenance shop.

  • Provide excellent customer service by goingabove and beyondcustomers’ expectations.

  • Contributes to achievement of Maintenance Shop department goals andobjectives

  • Maintains a safe and compliant working environment.

  • Attends management meetings when requested.

  • Other duties as assigned to meet business requirements.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as anyleveldegree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline; or 5 years’ experience in a related field.

  • A valid Class B commercial driver’s license (CDL).

  • Between 1 and 3 years of CDL driving experience.

  • The ability to lift to 75 pounds and maneuver heavy equipment.

  • The ability to read/follow maps, routes, and GPSsystem

  • Experience in positionsdemonstratingthe ability to provide exceptional customer service to external and internal contacts.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.

  • Familiarity with the local geography.

  • This position follows regulations issued by the Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). Candidate must be able to successfully complete and pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical prior to employment.

  • A current and valid DOT medical card with more than four (4) monthsremaininguntil itsexpirationmay besubmittedinleuof a DOT physical. If the DOT medical card has four (4) months orless ofvalidityremaining, a DOT physical will berequired

  • Due to interstate operatingauthoritycommerce regulations, candidates must be at least 21 years or older.

  • Safe drivers needed and 3 YR MVR reviewrequired; Candidate must hold a valid state-of-residence driver’s license, be able to obtain andmaintaintheir Driver Qualification File
