Job Description
Southshore Distribution is seeking a qualified, dependable, Class A Spotter Driver to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for moving trailers, from the truck yard to and from docks, between 2 local warehouses, and to local repair shops. This position will also be responsible for trailer inspections and working closely with the fleet manager and warehouse supervisors. Our drivers must always drive safely and be professional and courteous when talking with our customers and vendors.
Responsibilities
- To be DOT compliant and follow all company safety procedures.
- FMCSA compliant and Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse compliant.
- Ensure that all proper documentation is in order.
- Drive commercial motive equipment. (Class A CDL drivers license.)
- Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Good customer relations.
- Other duties as directed.
Skills and Experience
- Must pass driving test.
- Must have all state and federal documents required for driving all related equipment.
- Ability to interact within a team environment.
- TWO years experience is preferred but not required.
- Must be able to get in and out of Spotter or Day cab numerous times throughout the day.
Working Environment
- Normal driving environment.
- Work hours are from 7:00am-3:30pm, Monday through Friday.

Hourly Rate
- $22.00-$25.00 per hour, based on experience and safety record.
