CDL-A Local Truck Driver - Allentown, PA - Home Daily
Location: Allentown, PA
Pay Rate: $75,000 – $85,000 per year
Position Overview
A regional carrier is seeking an experienced CDL-A Local Truck Driver for a dedicated home-daily route in the Allentown, PA area. This is a day shift position with consistent local miles, no nights away, and a stable schedule that puts you home every day. Key Responsibilities
- Operate a Class A tractor-trailer on a dedicated local route in the Allentown, PA area
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and document findings accurately
- Load and unload freight as required, using proper equipment and safe lifting techniques
- Maintain accurate logs in compliance with DOT Hours of Service regulations
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding route status, delays, or equipment issues
- Deliver freight on schedule to customer locations with professionalism and accuracy
- Maintain a clean driving record and comply with all DOT and company safety standards
- Complete all required paperwork including delivery receipts, bills of lading, and inspection reports
- Report any accidents, incidents, or near-misses to management immediately
- Represent the company professionally at all customer and public interactions
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL required
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable CDL-A driving experience
- Clean MVR with no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years
- No DUI, reckless driving, or at-fault accidents in the past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and physical
- Familiarity with local Allentown, PA area roads and delivery environments preferred
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a related field is preferred
