VLS Waste Services provides customized waste processing solutions for hazardous and non-hazardous industrial and commercial waste, including landfill diversion and sustainability programs, solidification of liquid waste, recycling, wastewater treatment, and waste sequestration.

VLS Railcar Cleaning and Repair Services division provides specialty cleaning services for difficult-to-clean products, including chemicals, hardened materials, and pressurized gases, and comprehensive repair services for certified full-service repairs, tank car qualifications, and maintenance.

Marine Services

VLS Marine Services division offers state-of-the-art barge cleaning, repair, and gas-free facilities for various chemical solvents and downstream petroleum products.

Qualifications

The CDL Class A Driver II will be responsible for hauling Hazardous and Non-Hazardous waste and must be experienced on all equipment. This includes the need to support operations during high demand times to ensure the success of the business.

Responsibilities:

  1. Driver will be utilized as a utility driver - required to slip seat between a straight roll-off truck, tractor-trailer and possibly straight vacuum or oil truck as scheduling needs require.
  2. Loading, unloading, and safely transporting hazardous and non-hazardous materials and operation of all fleet equipment.
    1. Types of equipment include, but are not limited to: vacuum tankers, bulk tankers, roll-off equipment, walking floor trailers, dump trailers, dry van trailers, and forklifts.
  1. Safe and responsible operation of assigned equipment while maintaining appearance of company equipment to meet company standards.
  2. Interfacing and creating a Wow! Experience for our clients at the point of delivery.
  3. Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/ or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards, and guidelines.
  4. Reporting vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage before and after pickups.
  5. Efficiently able to operate a manual transmission (no automatic restriction)
  6. Ability to make minor repairs is a plus (light bulbs, fuses, minor air leaks.
  7. Ability to identify and report equipment malfunction or damage

Requirements:

  1. CDL Driver must have good driving history and pass background check.
  2. Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement and Hazmat endorsement. We are willing to work with the right candidate to obtain a Hazmat endorsement.
  3. Must be willing to obtain TWIC Card.
  4. CDL Driver must pass DOT drug screen, physical, and road test.
  5. Driving experience and tanker experience required

Physical Demands

1.. The employee must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

2.. Be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.

3.. This position will require wearing personal protective equipment.

4.. Ability to do repetitive motion (lifting, pulling, and loading hoses/pumping totes and drums)
