Job Description

The Global Visual Merchandising Designer will be part of the Store design & Visual Merchandising department, in the head office of Kilian Paris and will be in charge of the Visual merchandising for institutional VM & event VM.

This role reports to the Visual Merchandising manager.

Institutionnal VM

  • Planograms: Creation of Global VM generic Planogram per retail format – and adaptations for local relevancies
  • VM guidelines for each new opening
  • Development of institutional VM materials: development of new designs, sourcing of new suppliers, production follow up
  • Research into VM standards and possible display solutions
  • Good follow up on VM issues with the markets
  • Guide and support regions merchandising proposal to ensure compliance of brand guidelines and global merchandising strategy

Launch VM / events

  • Creation, development and implementation of VM projects related to the marketing plans and launch programs: VM guidelines, planograms, windows and podiums, Press Events and launch Campaign setups -
  • Installation of new campaign windows in Paris points of sale & support the French affiliate in the field.
  • Good tracking of the retro planning of the launch
  • Monitor and recommend the right merchandising methods/ tools for each project or each launch to ensure quality of design execution and brand visibility in store

Qualifications

  • Graduate from design school / VM school / art school
  • Minimum 3-4 years of prior experience, within the luxury and/or beauty sector.
  • Must have strong, hands-on proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and SketchUp, with daily professional use of these tools.
  • Knowledge of rendering software such as V-Ray or Enscape is a strong plus
  • Must be proficient in MS Office packages, particularly Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize – VERY creative
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, eye for design details & solutions to production issues for all VM displays.
  • Able to incorporate regular unplanned tasks into day to day workload
  • Has the flexibility and ability to learn quickly.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, oral and written
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment, being flexible in approach to meet the requirements of the business
  • Fluent in English
