Manages the operations functions to achieve efficient, safe, and reliable operation of the plant; promotes a positive culture with respect to safety, health, and productivity; ensures compliance with environmental regulations; and monitors operating costs and identifies reasons for, and mitigates, variances to plan.
· Ensures that safety programs are administered and promotes a positive culture with respect to safety rules, regulations, and policies. Ensure all safety, health, and environmental policies are in compliance.
· Ensures that the operations staff maintains efficiency and productivity contestant with company goals and policies.
· Ensures the reliable and efficient operation of the plant. This includes managing the coordination of the trains and barges to achieve maximum efficiency and customer satisfaction.
· Manages plant operations to maximize commercial value in order to help maximize revenue and provide the least cost alternative for affiliated customers.
·Develops and implements operating procedures and control systems to ensure personnel safety and protection against equipment damage. This includes methods and projects to enhance the performance of the facility.
· Leads the operations supervisors and staff in a manner consistent with goals and objectives as well as in compliance with all AEP Employees policies
·Manages all assigned major projects to ensure completion within cost and timelines.

Education requirements are listed below:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, related fields, or equivalent education/experience. Undergrad or no degree with five years of terminal experience, with two years being in a leadership role.
Work Experience requirement listed below: In addition, a minimum of five years in operations and/or maintenance management of a coal handling or similar facility and working knowledge of railroads and river transportation.
