
Rural Healthcare Transformation (RHT) South East Central Student Support Specialist
General Summary: Under the supervision of the Rural Health Transformation (RHT) Regional Lead, the RHT South East Central Student Support Specialist supports participants enrolled in Rural Health Transformation (RHT) grant initiatives by providing career navigation, student support services, case management, and barrier reduction assistance throughout the Southeast and Central regions of New Hampshire.
This position works collaboratively with CCSNH colleges, healthcare employers, workforce partners, high schools, community organizations, and state agencies to support participant enrollment, persistence, completion, and employment outcomes within healthcare career pathways and work-based learning programs.
The Student Support Specialist assists individuals in navigating educational and workforce systems while connecting participants to support services, funding resources, training opportunities, and healthcare career pathways that align with regional workforce demands.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in human services, education, social sciences, healthcare, public administration, or related field.
Experience Two(2) years of experience in career counseling, case management, workforce development, healthcare support services, or community-based human services. OR
Education Associate’s degree in human services, education, social sciences, healthcare, public administration, or related field.
Experience Four(4) years of experience in career counseling, case management, workforce development, healthcare support services, or community-based human services.
License/Certifications: Valid Driver’s License or access to statewide transportation.

Special Considerations:
This position requires regular in-person meetings and travel throughout the Southeast and Central regions of New Hampshire. Evening and occasional weekend hours may be required based on programmatic and outreach needs.
