Calvary Chapel Schools (CCS) was established to meet the educational, social, and spiritual needs of the children of Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa. CCS is a ministry of CCCM, building up Christian leaders in mind, body, and soul through Biblical truth, character development, and strong academic pursuits, enabling students to serve and enjoy Christ and their community.

Position Purpose and

Summary
As the Preschool Teacher you would be responsible for creating and maintaining a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic and spiritual potential. The ideal candidate will have a strong relationship with Jesus Christ. They will be a minister of the Gospel in this position by ministering and praying for and with the students and parents. They will also serve within the practical areas of this position, and be an example to the staff, students, and parents.
Responsibilities:

- Be an example to those with whom you come in contact and with whom you serve by exuding the love of Christ. Understanding that it is a privilege to serve the Lord in vocational ministry and that those who serve God on staff at CCCM are expected to embrace a high biblical, Christ-like standard of conduct and lifestyle, both public and personal
- Create a loving and flexible program that fosters learning and spiritual growth in accordance with each child's abilities.
- Serve as a minister of the Gospel, leading by example in your relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and projects, ensuring the health and safety of all children.
- Build strong home/school relationships with families through ongoing communication and collaboration.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and nurturing environment conducive to the growth and development of young children.
- Participate in team teaching efforts, staff meetings, and school functions.
- Adhere to all state, federal, and local laws governing preschool education.

Requirements:
- Valid State of California Child Development Teacher Certificate.
- Minimum of 12 units in Early Childhood Education (ECE), with a plan to complete teacher certification.
- Health screening and fingerprint clearance through Community Care Licensing.
- Experience working with preschool-age students.
- Warm and welcoming demeanor when interacting with children and families.
- Knowledge of childhood growth and development, including typical and atypical aspects.
- Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing.
