Parsons is seekinga CBA – Water TreatmentOperator IIIfor our Faro Mine Site. In this role, play a crucial role in the successful operation and maintenanceof all water treatment plant equipment and related water storage and conveyance facilities at the Faro Mine Complex.

Preference will be given to local candidates but open to candidates who are available on a fly‑in/fly‑out rotational basis.

These positions work shifts of 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off with 12 hours per shift.

Employees are provided an LOA allowance andare responsible forproviding their own food/meals.

This position includes membership in theUnited Steelworkers Local 925 The hourly wage for thisposition is$34.96


What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Operation and monitoring of water treatment facilities and end‑of‑line pumping systems.

  • Maintain, manage, and troubleshoot equipment including pumps, piping, and related systems, including shutting down equipment or plants whenrequired.

  • Work near and around largediesel poweredpumps and generators.

  • Work 12-hour day andnightshifts as scheduled, in a combination of indoor and outdoor environments.

  • Completetimelyandaccuratedaily records of plant andpumpingperformance.

  • Conduct daily site inspections and record observations.

  • Notify supervisor of any issues relating to the water treatment process, pumps, and pipelines, with detailed observations of abnormal conditions.

  • Alwaysmaintaina high standard of housekeeping.

  • Engage in all forms oflabourtoassistin the successful operation of all water treatment processes.

  • Assistsite trades and services personnel asrequired

  • Attend training sessions asrequired

  • Complete Health and Safety (H&S) training related to on-site policies and company requirements and adhere to requirements while performing work.

  • Complete chemical handling training and adhere to requirements while performing work.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Participate in mine rescue training.

  • Participate in first aid training.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

  • Proficient at the operation of allendof the line pumping systems.

  • Proficient in the operation of 2 of the water treatment plants efficiently to produce compliant water for discharge

  • Able to trouble shoot and shutdown plants in case of non-compliant water.

  • Take readings, watertestandmodifyprocessto keep water within compliant ranges.

  • Capable of the safe handling of lime and other chemicals.

  • Valid class 5 driver’s licenserequired

  • Both off pavement and winter driving experience preferred.

  • Willingness to work in both indoor and outdoor environments.

  • Willingness to work in a remote northern community.

  • Able to lift, pull, stand, or crouch forlong periodsof time (physically fit).

  • Ability to lift 25 kg.

  • Familiar with computer skills-MicrosoftOffice Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)

  • Proven understanding of safe work practices and mitigating risk.

  • Ability to work with little supervision and function in amultidisciplineenvironment.
