
RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB REQUIREMENTS:
The Tool Room/Parts Attendant is responsible to the V2X Logistics Manager for the daily routine of issuing tools and PREX parts. The Tool Room/Parts Attendant must be capable of performing requisitioning, inventory control, storing, shelf life, and cataloging of required tools and material in the support of aircraft operations. The Tool Room Attendant must be capable of interpreting and complying with all DOD, Company directives/policies as directed by appropriate levels of supervision.
The Tool Room/Parts Attendant is responsible for the self-directed adherence to the Environmental, Health and Safety regulations, policies and mandated Quality Assurance, Security, Explosive Safety and all other applicable Navy/Air Force and Company Program requirements. The Tool Room/Parts Attendant must meet the following prerequisites:
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:Must have two (2) years experience specializing in a DOD aviation/material control environment or equivalent civilian experience. Must be familiar with DOD procedures, regulations and directives concerning logistics support and supply systems; specifically, the tool control program as it applies to organizational and intermediate level maintenance. The Tool Room/Parts Attendant must have a valid state operator’s license and the ability to pass government licensing requirements. Must be able to qualify and obtain a secret security clearance.

Normal day-to-day working conditions are inside an aircraft hangar with good ventilation and airflow. Work may be required in outside weather conditions where employees will be exposed to all types of environmental conditions and extremes such as hot, cold, rain, wind, etc.
While performing duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles, and risk of electrical shock. The employee is required to wear personal protective equipment including eye protection, ear protection, hand protection, respirators, masks, aprons; leather safety shoes, steel toe shoes, fall protection harness, and other equipment anytime the potential for hazards exists. The employee is occasionally exposed to highly precarious places, confined spaces, toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of radiation; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
