Job Description

The Central Australian Youth Link-Up Service (CAYLUS) is a
division of TCAC working across Central Australia to reduce the supply, demand
and harm associated with volatile substance use (VSU) and other substances
impacting young people and families.

The Regional Coordinator Community and Youth Development wi ll be responsible for the coordination, development and delivery of
CAYLUS programs across assigned regions of Central Australia.
The role exercises significant delegated authority to establish program priorities, lead implementation, and ensure
achievement of agreed outcomes
in collaboration with CAYLUS Managers.

The position leads strategic regional development and the
response to volatile substance use and related community safety issues. The coordinator
is also responsible for coordinating multi-agency responses, stakeholder
engagement, and program performance across remote communities.

The role has direct responsibility for program coordination,
oversight of resources, capacity building and supervision of community-based
staff where relevant, and contributes to organisational planning, reporting,
and continuous improvement.

The coordinator can be based in either Alice Springs or
remotely, if remote, CAYLUS provides fully subsidised housing.

As part of your role, you will be working with children,
people with a disability and people who are vulnerable. It is your obligation
to always ensure their safety and report any concerns in line with our duty of
care obligations. We have zero tolerance when it comes to abuse of any kind and
will take disciplinary action, including and up to termination of employment,
should we determine that abuse has taken place or there has been a failure to
report any suspected or alleged abuse.

Qualifications and Selection Criteria

Required

  • ·Demonstrated experience in leading community
    development, youth, AOD or related programs.
  • ·Demonstrated experience operating in remote
    Aboriginal communities, preferably in Central Australia, with an understanding
    of community governance, cultural protocols and service systems.
  • ·Proven experience in the design, coordination
    and delivery of complex programs, including responsibility for planning,
    implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
  • ·Demonstrated experience in workforce
    coordination and performance oversight, including supporting capability
    development in teams.
  • ·Proven ability to work with delegated authority
    to make operational decisions, set priorities and contribute to program
    outcomes.
  • ·Demonstrated experience in stakeholder
    leadership and interagency coordination, including negotiation and
    representation in formal settings.
  • ·Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and
    maintain program systems, work plans and reporting frameworks.
