Our client, one of the leading agro-industrial companies in the DRC, is seeking a Cattle Feeding Specialist for its Lubumbashi farm.

The Cattle feeding Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and efficient daily feeding operations in the feedlot. This includes interpreting bunk reads, designing the daily feeding schedule, entering all relevant data into the feedlot management software, supervising feeding staff, maintaining standards of hygiene and safety, and ensuring overall adherence to established SOPs.

Missions & Responsibilities :

• Conduct daily visual bunk readings for all pens at the designated times;

• Prepare and propose the daily feeding schedule;

• Monitor feed consumption patterns and identify risks;

• Enter bunk readings and feed allocations into the feedlot management software;

• Ensure precise preparation and timely dispatch of feed;

• Verify proper operation of feeding equipment;

• Collaborate on feeding strategies.

• Supervise feeding staff and ensure adherence to SOPs;

• Train new workers;

Required profile :

• Proven experience in feedlot operations;

• Understanding of cattle nutrition and feedlot performance;

• Ability to supervise workers effectively;

• Good communication and coordination skills;

• Computer literacy and data entry accuracy;

• Physically fit and committed to animal welfare and safety.
