Job Description

A R&D Engineer works closely with experts and other team members to implement and evaluate engineering solutions. He or she will typically support the research, design and development of a subsystem, process, or other technical solution in accordance with Quality System and customer requirements. He or she will contribute to advancing ReCor’s core technologies. He or she will work with other cross-functional team members to achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Supports commercialization efforts of products in the development pipeline, including manufacturing transfer (via brainstorming, project management, DHF creation/maintenance, prototyping, data analysis, test method development/validation, writing protocols/reports, writing work instructions, vendor management, training technicians/engineers, risk management, etc.).

  • Supports troubleshooting and product/process improvement activities of catheters and fluid delivery systems.

  • Designs and develops manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures.

  • Supports design and process qualifications/validations and FMEA.

  • Supports project management activities using effective scheduling and program management tools.

  • Actively supports risk management, design verifications/validations and failure analyses.

  • Supports other activities related to the ReCor quality management system including, but not limited to, design control, complaint handling, post-market surveillance, corrective and preventative action, training, troubleshooting, and audits.

  • Supports the development of intellectual property.

  • Supports regulatory submissions by collaborating with Quality and Regulatory Affairs.

Requirements

  • BS in engineering, Bio-Mechanical, Mechanical

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant industry experience preferred

  • Proficient in data and statistical analyses.

  • Good communication skills and excellent team player.

  • Catheter design and manufacturing experience for commercial devices highly preferred.

  • Expertise using CAD as a design tool, including creating models, assemblies, and detailed drawings is required; SolidWorks is a plus.

Salary Range- $105,000- $110,000 (Annual Base Salary)

The successful candidate's starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.

This program is designed to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and to maintain radiation exposure at levels that are As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA). Additional guidance and protective equipment, as necessary, will be provided as part of onboarding and ongoing safety training.
