Catering Supervisor – St Saviours Primary School, Alum Rock Road, Birmingham. B8 1JB

Permanent

Grade B - £28,598 - £34,434

Consultation grade - subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review

Salary is Pro rata to the hours worked

Working 36.5 hours per week working times are Monday - Friday term time only , Daily Hours to be confirmed

To include 3 cleaning days, 3 training days and 5 teacher training days

Cityserve is a Birmingham City Council catering service for school meals providing fresh and nutritious food for school kitchen across the UK, healthy eating is a continuous theme throughout all of our menus and we are committed to the wellbeing of pupils. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy environment, delivers excellent customer service and is able motivate and support team members.

As a Catering Supervisor your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and cooking freshly made meals for pupils including conveying to another site
  • Planning and controlling all aspects of the service
  • keeping the kitchen clean & tidy
  • Costing, stocktaking and keeping appropriate records using Saffron and IT skills
  • I Learning and Oracle
  • Staff training
  • To maintain a menu with balanced diets and allergen control
  • To be aware of the care users’ needs and dietary preferences.
  • You will work collaboratively with managers and supervisors to ensure the first-class delivery of food in school kitchens

Previous kitchen experience is essential to this role
