Our beautiful venue is located adjacent to the Ettalong Beach foreshore, overlooking Broken Bay and Lion Island, with Palm Beach a short 30-minute ferry ride away.
We have an amazing opportunity for a talented, hands-on, experienced, and enthusiastic full time or permanent part-time Catering Supervisor to join our team. The roster for this role may include shifts that commence at 7:00am (for conferencing and events) and may finish at midnight (dependent on events and weddings). Most shifts finish at 9:30pm during the week, and generally by 10:00pm on weekends.
About the Role
Support the Catering Services Manager and fellow Catering Supervisors.
Team member supervision.
Functions and Events supervision.
Guidance and training support to team members on customer service, operational procedures/processes and kitchen (FOH).
Ensuring that our members, guests, and team members receive excellent service by displaying a friendly and welcoming attitude.
Monitor the cleanliness of the floor and ensure health and safety standards are being met.
Displaying excellent conflict management skills, with the ability to diffuse and resolve customer complaints.
Assist with monitoring stock levels of supplies and materials, including linen, cleaning supplies, cakes and other items that may be required.
Assist in budgeting and cost control in terms of ensuring our people resources are used efficiently and the rosters operate within budget and service standards.
Maintaining consistently high standards of professional conduct, ethics, and work performance across all aspects of your role.
Assist with the coordination of events and conferences, such as birthdays and weddings, along with ensuring correct function room set-up and pack down in line with function event sheets.
Performing any other duties as required by the Management team.
About You
At least 3 years’ experience as a Supervisor within a Registered Club (highly desirable) or focused Catering operation.
Certificate IV in Hospitality/Leadership or similar (desirable).
First Aid and CPR Certifications (or the willingness to obtain).
Extensive operational and supervisory experience in Catering and functions/events.
The ability to provide/submit detailed reports as required.
The ability to develop strong working relationships, whilst at times being a great negotiator.
You will need to be available preferably 7 days of the week, including ALL public holidays due to the rotation of the roster and business requirements.
Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays as required.
RSA - NSW Competency Card is required prior to commencement.
RCG - NSW Competency Card is required prior to commencement.
